Wrapping Up Term 2 - Great Job Norton Summit & Gumeracha

As Term 2 comes to an end, I want to take a moment to say how proud I am of everyone who has been part of our Norton Summit and Gumeracha classes. Each week, you’ve shown not just commitment, but a real willingness to try new movements, challenge yourselves, and support one another. That kind of effort is inspiring, and it’s exactly what makes these sessions so special.

One of the most powerful lessons in Training for Life is that growth happens both in the challenge of the workout and in the pause of recovery. Recovery isn’t about stopping – it’s about allowing the body to rebuild and come back stronger.

This short break is a chance to not only rest and recharge but also to check in with your body. It’s a great opportunity to schedule any physio checks or treatments, and to focus on nurturing yourself with good nutrition, quality sleep, and gentle movement. These are just as important as the workouts themselves in building long-term health and resilience.

Looking Ahead to Term 3

In Term 3, we’ll continue building on the strong foundations you’ve set this term, with a sharper focus on:

Hip control – improving balance, mobility, and joint health.

Spine strength – supporting posture, reducing pain, and protecting your back long-term.

Muscle building – creating strength and resilience through movements that challenge and empower you.

I’ve also added some health programs to the app for you to check out over the break. These programs are designed to complement your classes and give you extra tools to stay strong and healthy at home.

We’re also working to build new classes in Mt Barker, Aldgate, and the Woodside Positive Ageing Centre, expanding the reach of Training for Life so even more people in the Hills can benefit from movement, strength, and connection.

Share Your Feedback

If you’d like to share your experience, you can leave a review or feedback through the last tab in the Sceniicc app or Google review Sceniicc. Your thoughts mean a lot and help us keep building classes that work for you.

So, take this time to rest well, look after your body, and reflect on all you’ve achieved. I can’t wait to see you all back in Term 3, ready for the next step in our journey – stronger, more confident, and continuing to grow together.
